new year, new goals

Updated: May 25, 2020

A new start, a new project, a creative outlet. Why Milkshake Wednesdays?

Welcome to Milkshake Wednesdays! If you've stumbled on my blog, you come to my new creative outlet - a place where I can share, express and communicate my thoughts and ideas, tips and tricks, lessons I've learned, and other content I hope you find to be helpful or inspiring.

Why Milkshake Wednesdays?

In brainstorming ideas for a blog, I made a list of various names - plays on words with my own name, my last name, things I like. Milkshake Wednesdays are a tradition I share with some of my colleagues at my day job and I felt the name was catchy enough and non-traditional to what's out there in terms of lifestyle blogs (not that there's anything wrong with those). It's a personal enough name and concept for me - and who doesn't love milkshakes??

My blog goals

If you're like me and follow various bloggers and influencers on social media, you often get inspired by the content and ideas they share. Since having my son a year ago, I've been exploring hobbies and creative outlets to get back to myself a little more, and nothing has really stuck - until now.

I'm a pretty private person, so this will push me outside my comfort zone - which is a good thing. I hope that this blog will help you navigate various life things - job-related, family-related, yes - fashion and shopping-related, and in turn be a place for me to share what I've learned along the way.

A little about me

A transplant from upstate NY, I have always held New England close to my heart. My family roots run deep in NE, and my husband and I have chosen to raise our son here (he's an adorable 14 months of pure love). I work in the education industry in a marketing and communications capacity (LOVE my job) and am constantly looking for inspiration to help tell a story. I enjoy shopping (maybe a little too much), exploring new places, trying new things and being outdoors - whether at the beach, in the mountains or simply in my own backyard. Thanks for reading so far - and I hope you will check back as I begin to venture into this new outlet.
