The older I get, the more I'm drawn to neutral colors. Not just in wardrobe, but in room aesthetic too. There's something calming about warm tones of beige, cream, brown and black, and now that we're in full fall mode, I'm breaking out all of the weather-appropriate neutrals.
Tory Burch flats - I first purchased the black version of these 3 years ago, and loved the logo detail and level of comfort. They fold up, which makes them great for travel, and are super lightweight. They stretched some during my pregnancy, but have held up really well. So much so, that I wanted to invest in the brown pair. BUT, I didn't want to pay the full retail price when there are sites like eBay and Poshmark out there. Which is exactly where I found these, for more than $100 off. Pre-owned, but in great condition.
Michael Kors nude pumps - Nothing pulls together a look like classic nude pumps. These were a major score at Nordstrom Rack and go with everything. Seriously - jeans, dresses, work outfits, you name it. Plus, Michael Kors shoes are incredibly comfortable and super high quality.
J. Crew kitten heels - Tried and true, these are also a classic closet staple. Another pair that goes with everything. And they come in both Black and Tan and are frequently on sale. The heel height is perfect if you want the illusion of longer legs, but don't want to sacrifice comfort.
Two-tone pumps - I purchased mine a number of years ago at Ann Taylor Outlet, and they have stood the test of time. Because they are two-tone, you could wear them with either color! I recently paired them with black pants and a leopard t-shirt. There are a bunch of variations out there from super high-end like Chanel, to a slingback version or flats.
Vince Camuto Gigietta nude booties - I have been watching these for over a year. I first saw them at last year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but was skeptical because of the heel height. I found them again this year, on major sale, and decided to give them a try (they are surprisingly comfortable!). Most sizes are sold out now, but don't let that stop you from looking on Poshmark or other resale sites. Another great nude bootie alternative: Sam Edelman Hilty.
Michael Kors leopard pumps - Last but not least, I have been searching high and low for some leopard pumps, and am very picky about the style, color and heel height. On a whim, I found these on Poshmark too - brand new and a great price. I'll admit, it was a bit of a gamble ordering a pair of shoes from there that I had never tried on, but I figured if they didn't fit, I could just re-sell them. Luckily for me, they work! Other options: Franco Sarto, J. Crew or Sam Edelman.
